..Title Amending Section 12-701 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Designation of Bicycle Lanes," to authorize a bicycle lane and removal of a travel lane around City Hall, under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Section 12-701 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: TITLE 12. TRAFFIC CODE * * * CHAPTER 12-700. BICYCLE LANES * * * � 12-701. Designation of Bicycle Lanes. * * * (2) The Department is authorized to designate a bicycle lane upon the following streets and regulate the operation and use of vehicles and bicycles upon such streets in a manner consistent with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) regulations: * * * (*) South Penn Square, north side, from 15th Street to East Penn Square: one buffered bicycle lane, and the removal of a travel lane within the same limits. (*) East Penn Square, west side, from South Penn Square to JFK Boulevard: one buffered bicycle lane, and the removal of a travel lane within the same limits. (*) John F. Kennedy Boulevard, south side, from East Penn Square to the start of the left turn lane on JFK boulevard: one buffered bicycle lane, and the removal of a travel lane within the same limits. * * * SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
