..Title Amending Section 9-803 of the Philadelphia Code, entitled "Fair Housing Commission," and Section 20-304 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Compensation for Members of Boards, Commissions, Committees and Councils," to amend the compensation paid to members of the Fair Housing Commission and delete superfluous provisions, all under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Title 9 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: TITLE 9. REGULATION OF BUSINESSES, TRADES AND PROFESSIONS * * * CHAPTER 9-800. LANDLORD AND TENANT * * * � 9-803. Fair Housing Commission. (1) A Fair Housing Commission is hereby created to be composed of 5 members to be appointed by the Mayor. The members of the Commission shall select from among the members a [chairman] chairperson. [All of the members of the commission shall serve without compensation.] The Commission shall have power to hold hearings and conduct investigations in connection with any unfair rental practice upon complaint or upon its own initiative. The Commission shall have power to compel the attendance of witnesses and the production of documents as provided in Section 8-409 of The Philadelphia Home Rule Charter. * * * SECTION 2. Title 20 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: TITLE 20. OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES * * * CHAPTER 20-300. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS * * * � 20-304. Compensation for Members of Boards, Commissions, Committees and Councils * * * (10) Fair Housing Commission. Each member of the Fair Housing Commission shall receive [eighty-five dollars ($85)] one hundred dollars ($100) as compensation for each meeting of the Commission which [he] the member attends; provided, that the total compensation paid to each member in any year shall not exceed [eight thousand five hundred dollars ($8,500)] fourteen thousand dollars ($14,000). * * * SECTION 3.
