The members of the team are also regarded as the pillars of Frankford High School by staff and faculty alike for their leadership throughout the school; and WHEREAS, The team was led by two players who were recognized by the Philadelphia Baseball Coaches Association for their outstanding seasons and City Championship game performances: Reynaldo De Los Santos, who was recognized as MVP of the league, and Railyn Rodriguez, who was honored with the distinction of Pitcher of the Year; and WHEREAS, Coach Juan Namnun has been the leader of the baseball program for 18 seasons, after serving as an assistant for 8 seasons, and previously attended and played at Frankford High School from 1992 to 1995; and WHEREAS, Under his leadership, his teams have shattered long-standing records, winning 2 of those 3 City Championships to go along with his record-setting 7 Public League Championships, earning him the recognition of Philadelphia Baseball Coach of the Year 12 times by the Times News Group, Philadelphia Coaches Association, and other publications; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, Hereby honors the 2026 Frankford High School Pioneers Baseball team, Coach Juan Namnun, and the entire Frankford High School community on their historic City Championship victory and dedication to excellence both on the field and in the classroom.
