..Title Commending Actor David Morse and the Producers of the CBS television series "Hack," for their commitment to producing and filming the series in Philadelphia and showcasing all that our City has to offer. ..Body WHEREAS, "Hack" is a drama about Mike Olshansky (David Morse), a decorated ex-police officer turned taxi driver who seeks redemption by fighting for and righting the wrongs of others; and WHEREAS, At the request of David Morse, and the concurrence of the producers of "Hack," a commitment was made to film and produce the entire series in Philadelphia, making it the first prime-time network series to be shot entirely in Philadelphia; and WHEREAS, "Hack" will show real Philadelphians in their real environments, and will show the diversity of our City by showcasing such areas of the City as Manayunk, Northern Liberties, Germantown, Northeast, Southwest, and North Philadelphia; and WHEREAS, Since 1994, David Morse and his family, consisting of his three children and his wife, Susan, who is a Philadelphia native, have been living in Philadelphia. David Morse has shown such a fondness for Philadelphia that he has said "Philadelphia is my home. I always felt really comfortable here"; now therefore RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That we hereby commend Actor David Morse and the Producers of the CBS television series, "Hack," for their commitment to producing and filming the series in Philadelphia and showcasing all that our City has to offer. FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to David Morse and the Producers of "Hack," as evidence of the sincere sentiments of this legislative body. ..End
