..Title Confirming the appointment of Nolan Atkinson as a member of the Board of Ethics, to serve in the term ending November 16, 2014. ..Body WHEREAS, Mayor John F. Street appointed and Council confirmed Phoebe Haddon as a member of the Philadelphia Board of Ethics, to serve in the term ending November 16, 2009; and WHEREAS, Ms. Haddon resigned her position in September 2009, leaving a vacancy; and WHEREAS, Ms. Haddon's term thereafter expired on November 16, 2009; and WHEREAS, Mayor Michael A. Nutter has nominated Nolan N. Atkinson, Jr. for appointment as a member of the Philadelphia Board of Ethics, to serve for the remainder of the full five-year term beginning on November 16, 2009; and WHEREAS, Section 3-806 of the Charter requires the advice and consent of a majority of all members of the Council for the appointment of members of the Board of Ethics; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That Council hereby consents to and confirms the appointment of Nolan N. Atkinson, Jr. as a member of the Board of Ethics, to serve in the term ending November 16, 2014. ..End
