..Title Amending Title 19 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Finance, Taxes and Collections," by providing for the inclusion of notices regarding Housing Inspection License requirements in certain City tax and utility bills, all under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Title 19 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: TITLE 19. FINANCE, TAXES AND COLLECTIONS * * * CHAPTER 19-1300. REAL ESTATE TAXES * * * § 19-1301.2. Housing Inspection License Notice. Every bill for real estate tax due on a residential property shall contain, in a conspicuous location on such bill in 14-point font, the following statement: "THE PHILADELPHIA CODE REQUIRES THAT THE OWNER OF EVERY RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY OFFERED FOR RENT SHALL OBTAIN A HOUSING INSPECTION LICENSE PRIOR TO RENTAL NO RENT MAY BE COLLECTED FOR ANY PROPERTY NOT PROPERLY LICENSED AND THE OWNER WILL BE SUBJECTED TO FINES AND PENALTIES. A license can be obtained at www.phila.gov." * * * CHAPTER 19-1600. WATER AND SEWER RENTS * * * § 19-1608. Housing Inspection License Notice. Every bill for water or sewer charges due with respect to a residential property shall contain, in a conspicuous location on such bill in 14-point font, the following statement: "THE PHILADELPHIA CODE REQUIRES THAT THE OWNER OF EVERY RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY OFFERED FOR RENT SHALL OBTAIN A HOUSING INSPECTION LICENSE PRIOR TO RENTAL NO RENT MAY BE COLLECTED FOR ANY PROPERTY NOT PROPERLY LICENSED AND THE OWNER WILL BE SUBJECTED TO FINES AND PENALTIES. A license can be obtained at www.phila.gov." SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately. ..End
