Title Amending Section 9-208 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “Sidewalk Cafés,” to authorize additional locations for sidewalk cafés, all under certain terms and conditions. Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Section 9-208 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: TITLE 9. REGULATION OF BUSINESSES, TRADES AND PROFESSIONS * * * CHAPTER 9-200. COMMERCIAL ACTIVITIES ON STREETS * * * § 9-208. Sidewalk Cafés. * * * (2) Location. Notwithstanding any provision of Section 9-205, a sidewalk café may be maintained * * * (xxxvi) within the geographic boundaries of the East Falls Neighborhood Commercial Area Overlay District, as defined in subsection 14-503(2); [and] (xxxvii) on 54th street, both sides, from City avenue to Overbrook avenue; and (xxxviii) within the geographic boundaries of the following Special Services and Business Improvement Districts: (a) Manayunk Special Services District; subject to license approval and provided that the conditions of this Section are complied with. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately. End
