SUBMISSIONS 119 Pine Street. Recommendations included a simple brick wall, rather than an iron fence; a better organization of new windows on the newly exposed wall. The Commission opposes the change in the roof line, preferring an extended former window. It is recommended that a "D" window be used in the gable, not the round one. Another drawing is required. 225 Pine Street. Approved 334 S. Second Street. It was recommended that glass sizes be consistent throughout, that the first floor sash contain 12/12 lights, the same for the second floor and 8/8 for the third floor windows. Cording in the set-back should conform to the others. Chimney should be correctly capped, according to the period of the structure; the clay pot not approved. It is assumed the rear of the extension is brick to match the original brick. Windows on the gable wall should be of uniform size. A discrepancy between the presentation of the Second Street facade and that of the one on Delancey Street is evident in the drawing. Careful details are required. Before the next submission, it is recommended that the architect view the Dilworth-Todd-Moylan House at the NE cor 4th and Walnut Street, newly restored by National Park Service. 305 S. Third Street. (303 is already demolished as per approval earlier) Drawing No1 with extension of facade is not acceptable. The Commission does not permit alteration to original openings existing. Therefore the doorway should be in its original location. The alternative is approved, and the Commission looks forward to detailed drawings. 242 S. 3d Street. Present new door is too early; it should match that of 238 S. 3d Street and so should the shutters. The rail of the louvered shutters must be below the closing of the sash. Another set of details is requested, which should include those for the correct door. 321 S. Fourth Street. Approved. 622 Spruce Street. It is recommended that moldings prepared by Mr. G. A. Robbins be sent to the architect, to be used rather than those he submitted. Otherwise the drawing is approved. 739 Spruce Street. Approved. 708

Recommended moldings for the door and shutters is to be sent to the owner, the contractor to check all measurements to ge sure of correct scale. The Commission will accept the stucco at the party line, which shows on the facade, providing the face of the brick- work extends four inches beyond it. Metal cap and bargeboard, tapering one ince to every 9 inches of length, is required. All other details are approved. 935, 37, 39 Lombard Street. The two older structures are approved as submitted. Although 935 Lombard is not certified, it is recommended that the Victorian aspect of this 1870 building be retained, since drawing indicates that the present cornice is to be retained. Sash would, therefore, be 2/2 and louvered shutters hung above the first floor. The contrast would be pleasing between this building and the full restoration of the two earlier ones. 911, 13, 15, 17 Clinton Street. Approved. 522 S. Juniper Street. Reopening of the areaway beside the front steps is approved, but the Commission does not approve any change in the original openings and, therefore, recommends that the two cellar windows be preserved. Marble steps should also be preserved, and could be reinforced underneath. Mr. Lloyd recommends steel for this. Otherwise the drawing is approved. 111 North 49th Street. Repairs to cupola approved. REQUESTS FOR PLAQUES. Mother Bethel AME Church, Sixth Street above Lombard. It was agreed that the request be held in abeyance until the work is complete.
