THE MINUTES of the Stated Meeting of the Philadelphia Historical Commission held on 3 May 1979 were approved as submitted and directed to be filed. REPORTS The Report of the Architectural Committee for 16 May 1979, Herbert W. Levy, A.I.A., Chairman, was approved and directed to be filed with the official copy of the Minutes. The Report on the Philadelphia Historical Commission Staff Activities for the month of May, Richard Tyler, Historian. Mr. Tyler's report was approved and directed to be filed with the official copy of the Minutes. In response to questions, Mr. Tyler expanded briefly on the present status of the Furnese bank building at Sixth and Spring Garden Streets and on the proposal to commemorate William Penn at the site of the Slate Roof House as a tercentenary project. Mr. Tyler also introduced to the Commission Marion M. Carroll who joined the Commission staff as Architectural Historian on 7 May 1979. 237th STATED MEETING 2 7 June 1979 OLD BUSINESS Application for a Philadelphia Historical Commission Plaque, David Rosenblum, Esq., and Richard Tyler, Historian. Following some discussion, the draft of the application was approved with a change in the wording of condition 3. The revised application is appended to these minutes.
