Maurer, Executive Assistant to the Chairman Patricia Siemlkowski, Secretary SUBMISSIONS 515 South Ninth Street, Nick James Chimes, Architect. The Committee approved the architect's plan for the full restoration of this building. 324 Spruce Street; Demon Buell, Architect. Since the existing dormer window is original, the Committee agreed that it must be kept and repaired. Details of all moldings are now requested. 529 Pine Street, Giovanni Cosco, Architect. The Committee commended the architect on his progress in planning for the restoration of this Pine Street building. It is obvious, however, from the photographs on file in the Historical Commission office that the drawing is not accurate. The Committee requires that the house be properly measured and another set of drawings presented for review. Details of all moldings are also required. The staff will be glad to supply these to Mr. Cosco. PROBLEMS 401 South Third Street (doorway), Robert Paresky, Architect. The Committee studied the problem concerning the original position of the doorway and decided to leave the decision to the architect, Mr. Paresky. He will be given a choice of either of the two solutions to this problem since precedent exists for both. 521 Pine Street (painting of brick). The Committee approved of Mr. Winarsky's recommendation that the building be permitted to remain as it presently exists not requiring that the brick be painted. 747 South Second Street (shutters). Mrs. Maurer's recommendation that the drawing for shutters to be hung on this building be approved was accepted by the Committee. PLAQUES 128 West Queen Lane. Before a plaque can be awarded to this historically certified building both the dormer and roof need to be properly restored. It is recommended that the storm sash be installed on the interior of the house, if possible. However, the Committee will reluctantly approve of the exterior sash if painted to match the wood trim.
