The Minutes of the Stated Meeting of the Philadelphia Historical Commission held on 3 April 1980 were approved and directed to be filed. The Minutes of the Meeting of the Architectural Committee for 16 April 1980, Herbert W. Levy, A.I.A., Architectural Advisor to the Commission, The Report of the Architectural Committee for 16 April 1980 was approved and directed to be filed with the official copy of the Minutes. The Minutes of the Extraordinary Meeting of the Architectural Committee for 1 May 1980, Herbert W. Levy, A.I.A., Architectural Advisor to the Commission. The Commission having reviewed the 1 May 1980 Agenda and voted to accept the Committee's recommendations. Installation of an elevator within one of the two major staircases of one of the other locations suggested by the University's architect in his preliminary studies for this project. The Commission directed placement of the new elevator in a less obtrusive location within the building. To avoid undue delay for the University, the Commission members agreed to consider the matter immediately upon the receipt of the additional information. STATED MEETING 2 1 May 1980 The Report of the Committee on Certification for 7 April 1980, Edward Pinkowski, Chairman. The Commission members reviewed each of three previously submitted requested for certification individually and voted as follows: 2129 Cypress Street. The Commission agreed with the Committee's recommendation to stand by its 16 November vote against certification of 2129 Cypress Street. 505 North Twenty-first Street. Owing to the objection of the Owner, it was agreed that certification not be imposed. This action was in accord with the Committee's recommendation. 622 North Twenty-first Street. Following the receipt of additional information on this building, the Commission agreed with the recommendation of its Committee that 622 North Twenty-first Street be certified. The following new submissions were reviewed

The following new submissions were reviewed individually and approved for certification: Reading Terminal, 1115-1121 Market Street Thirtieth Street Station, northeast corner of Thirtieth and Market Streets Fidelity Mutual Life Insurance Building, Pennsylvania Avenue and Twenty- sixth Street. In its continuing effort to certify buildings in the Old City National Register Historic District legally, each of the following buildings was reviewed and approved for certification: 301-303 Cherry Street 136 Race Street 219 Race Street 225 Race Street 243 Race Street 245 Race Street 247-249 Race Street a.k.a. 201-203 N.20 St. 212-214 Race Street 216 Race Street 218-220 Race Street 222-226 Race Street Mr. Hogensen voted in opposition to the certification of 219 Race Street, 243 Race Street and 245 Race Street. The building situate at 208-210 Race Street was not ratified for certification. A motion to strike the building from the Commission's list was made, seconded and carried. [HANDWRITTEN NOTES: Line 8 from bottom (in the list of Race Street buildings): handwritten notation "a.k.a. 201-203 N.20 St." appears after "247-249 Race Street"] STATED MEETING 3 1 May 1980 Except for its decision not to certify 205-210 Race Street, the Historical Commission voted in agreement with the recommendations of its Committee on Certification as stated in the report of 7 April 1980. This report was accepted and directed to be filed with the official copy of the Minutes. Dr. Tyler's report was approved and directed to be filed with the official copy of the Minutes. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 4:40 P.M.
