Lloyd Dr. Margaret B. Tinkcom Mrs. Charles J. Maurer 512 Spruce Street It was recommended that the Architect, Mr. Theodore Cam, check the data in the Commission's office, for clearer detail. If the shutters can be authen- ticated, then they must be operable. 528 Delancey Street It was recommended that the architect return the cornice, making it of wood, not copper, as indicated in the drawing. It was recommended that the entrance be restudied for clearer detail; that shutters be designed to comply with the design of the door and that the dormer be redrawn in accord with existing size of the actual dormer window. It was also recommended that the base be rebuilt in brick to match the rest of the facade. 277 South Fourth Street It was recommended that the architect, Mr. Alex Gravesen, restore the arch head dormer and restudy the first floor shutters unless he can justify the present design. 323 South Fourth Street Mr. Peterson commented on the drawing, saying that it represents two periods, 1770 and 1810. He will look at the building in its present condition and report at the Stated Meeting. Messers. Williams and Trautwein approved the submission. 414 South 10th Street It was recommended that the builder, Mr. Saul Levin, restore this small dwelling to its original state. Without a brief of title, the date is uncertain. The present facade, according to the survey, was new in 1858. Another drawing is required. It was recommended that the owner view 323 S. Third Street, which is built of similar brick. PLAQUES for the following certified buildings were approved: Trinity Church, Oxford; Waln Street Friends' Meeting, Frankford; Frankford Arsenal and the Norwegian Seamens' Church, which was Mechanick's Bank, 22 South Third Street. Mr. Levin was irritated by the report read to him from brief notes. He asked for a call to Mr. Trautwein's telephone number and called the second time, after speaking to the Chairman of the Committee. 512 Spruce Street. Mr. Cam called for a report and asked if it would be possible to obtain a permit for interior work only, pending a redrawing of the exterior details, principally the shutters. Mr. Lloyd, when called, gave verbal permission for this; Mr. Trautwein conferred. Mr. Cam, calling a second time, was given this report and states that he will come to the office to study the evidence for shutters. Later in the day, the contractor came to the office to obtain the Commission's stamp for a permit allowing him to do only interior work and some changes to the rear of the property.
