It was later pointed out that it is a drawing copied from the existing frame, found in the attic while the added mansard roof was being removed. The Chairman was therefore able to ask that the drawing be approved. 250 South Fourth Street The Committee recommended that the drawing be approved, but that before the doorway's design be accepted, the present frontispiece be carefully removed in order to study the underlying fabrics. If this reveals a doorway which cannot be utilized, the frontispiece may be put back, with modification to its "tiled" pediment. This must be simply finished. It was reported that a survey, just come to light, describes two doorways and it wasrecommended that the owner be given a choice of restoring both, if more convenient for the multi-family dwelling this building has become. Particular approval was given to the cornice. 310 Cypress Street Application for approval to remove lateradditions to the rear and east flank was granted. 1227-1245 Lombard Street It was recommended that the owner haveimmediate approval for the restoration and alteration of the interiors. The Committee warmly commends the drawings, but believes more study of exterior details is necessary, as those submitted were thought to be out of period. 227 Pine Street Mr. Lloyd agreed to persuade the owner to apply for a permit at once, for work already in progress. It was recommended that a letter be sent to Commissioner Lieberman, thanking him for sending the Commission a draft of regulations drawn up for those applying for building permits, calling his attention to a suggested addition in regard to drawings needed for alterations to all certified buildings. Respectfully submitted George K. Trautwein
