The Committee agreed that the submitted design for the fence and gate is approved but that the arch over the gate should be omitted. 506 Spruce Street, T. Anderson, Contractor. The Committee approved the demolition of the second floor rear frame addition. It was also agreed upon that when plans are submitted for the full restoration of this building, the Victorian facade be maintained. 308 Delancey Street, Mr. M. R. Malickson, Owner. If the Building Division of the Department of Licenses and Inspections permits, the Commission recommends that the owner install a double hung window, or windows, of the period of his house. These can be on the same scale as the dormer window at the rear of 310 Delancey Street. 227 Monroe Street, S. Campisi, owner. The Commission requires the retention of the profile of the existing cornice. 5208 Germantown Avenue, Judge Saylor, President of the Gtn. Hist. Soc. Library. Any flashing, trim, or related work should maintain the design of the original components. The Commission also recommends the retention of the original pole gutter which was usually executed in tin or copper and not aluminum. Work may begin as soon as the building permit application is approved. PROBLEMS 628 Spruce Street, letter from the owner regarding the front door. A reply to this request will be withheld until Mr. Lloyd has had a chance to view the condition of the brick after the rough cast is removed. DEMOLITIONS 1221, 1223, 1247 South Street. The Commission reluctantly approves the demolition of these buildings. If this area is to be rehabilitated, rather than cleared for new construction, we request that these buildings, as well as all other certified buildings, be retained. A plaque is dependent, however, upon the completion of the restoration with the installation of paneled shutters on the second floor rather than louvered ones, and the installation of a brick water table to replace the present concrete one.
