The HISTORIC VALUES COMMITTEE met September 23, 1963, at 11:30 a.m. in Mr. Williams' office at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania. Present: Dr. Nichols, Chairman Mr. Williams Dr. Tinkcom The following properties were recommended for certification: 122 Delancey Street) certified because of their juxtaposition 519 Spruce Street ) to other certified houses; 210 S. Quince Street - reviewed at the request of the owner; 258 S. Ninth Street; 7 1113-1125 Pine Street, recommended to the Commission's attentions by the Planning Commission; 601-03 Callowhill Street, recommended to the Commission's attention by Mr. Berry of the Redevelopment Authority; 45 Manheim Street, Jungkurth house, requested by the owner; 117-121 Queen Street; 38 Christian Street) both the Planning Commission & the National 901 S. Front Street) Park Service are interested in these 2 properties. Three members of the research staff need to have their present contracts extended, if their work is to continue through December: Mrs. Kirkbride, in the amount of $650.00(to allow her to work a 30 hour week) Mr. Iwanicki " " " " 100.00 Mrs. Tinkcom " " " " 650.00 $1400.00 This will leave a balance of $54.00 in Class 200, which will be used for postage stamps and tokens before the end of the year. Dr. Tinkcom was directed to review the map of the Delaware Expressway (in Mr. Childs' office) in conjunction with our list of certified buildings and report to the Philadelphia Historical Commission which ones, and how many, appear to be affected by the present plans for this highway.
