THE MINUTES of the Meeting of the Philadelphia Historical Commission as a Committee of the Whole, 7 October 1976, were approved and directed to be filed. REPORTS The Report of the Architectural Committee for 20 October 1976 was approved and directed to be filed with the official copy of the Minutes. Recommendations by the Staff for the Certification of Buildings, Richard Tyler, Historian. The Commission approved the ratification of the certification by individual structure of the following buildings in the Old City: 219 Market Street 221 Market Street 227 Market Street 229 Market Street 231 Market Street 232-35 Market Street 239 Market Street 241 Market Street 243 Market Street 251 Market Street 253 Market Street 255-57 Market Street Although 213, 243, 251, 253 and 255-57 Market Street have been substantially mutilated, they do maintain the scale of the block in addition, certification affords a method whereby referrals on development can be readily made to the City Planning Commission. Batem Memorial Fund for the casting of the two newly approved Historical Commission plaques. The Commission agreed to retain the Quint Company as the manufacturer of the plaques as suggested by the Historian. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:00 P. M .
