Schell St. SUBMISSIONS 229 South Schell Street, Roger Fitzgerald, Architect. Plans for the complete restoration of this historically certified building were reviewed by the Committee and their approval is recommended. The architect was asked to submit a detail of louvered shutters to be hung on the upper floors. (Shutters are not required on the first floor since they could not be hung properly.) 111: Fairmount Avenue. The Committee reviewed the specifications for the renovation of this building; however, it was agreed that before a final could be given, an accurately measured drawing must be submitted for review. 151 North Fourth Street, Gridaun Development Corporation. The Committee considered and agreed to allow the request of the developer to turn the front steps to the side. However, in reviewing the drawings previously approved by this Commission and the Advisory Board of Design, the Committee noticed several discrepancies. Since the building at 151 North Fourth Street will be new construction, the Committee recommended that the Commission require the developer to submit a revised elevation to the Advisory Board of Design for its consideration. 524 Pine Street (Frontispiece), James E. Colberg, Owner. The Committee reviewed the request of the owner for permission to install a frontispiece on the building at 524 Pine Street. It was agreed that before a final approval would be given, an accurately measured drawing showing the installation of the frontispiece over the doorway would be required for review. 2218 Delanger Street, Wintz Architects and Engineers. The architect's proposal for renovations to the rear of this building was reviewed and approval is recommended. ARCHITECTURAL COMMITTEE 2 21 July 1976 REHAB SPECIFICATIONS 941 Lombard Street. Architects and Engineers. The architect's proposal for renovations to the rear of this building was reviewed and approval is recommended. ARCHITECTURAL COMMITTEE 2 21 July 1976 REHAB SPECIFICATIONS 941 Lombard Street. In reviewing the rehabilitation specifications for 941 Lombard Street the Committee questioned the requirement for a covered sidewalk rather than a brick sidewalk. Also, the basement window sash should have three lights and the shutters should have three sections on the second floor and two on the third floor. 737 Spruce Street. The specifications for the renovation of the building at 737 Spruce were reviewed and approval is recommended. These specs were approved by the Committee upon the recommendation of the Washington Square West Civic Association. PROBLEMS 2127 Green Street. The problem of how to restore the mansard roof on this building was brought to the attention of the Architectural Committee. The Committee recommended that the Board suggest the removal of the mansard roof. If the owner wishes to retain the mansard, it should be repaired and one over one double hung windows should be installed in the existing openings. The Committee reviewed the request of the Washington Square West Project Area Committee for assistance in having the wooden blocks on Camac Street between Locust and Walnut preserved. The Committee suggested that the PAC send a representative to the Historical Commission to ask its support in an appeal to the Streets Department. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 3:45 P. M. Respectfully submitted, Patricia Simickowski Executive Assistant to the Chairman /pas
