Example: the drawing is vague as to whether the door and shutter panels match precisely. It is recommended that all mouldings match those of 409 South Third Street, and that ultimately, a buthead cellar door be installed to replace one cellar window and door which appears to have been closed off. It is understood that the proposed work is in the direction of a complete restoration; until this is complete, no plaque may be awarded. 656 Spruce Street. Approved, with the note that the drawing of the dormer is still not accurate. Extenuating circumstance is that it requires only repair, not alteration. It is recommended that from now on, the Committee will no longer accept any discrepancy in drawing. 223 Spruce Street. Drawing not accepted. It is recommended that the architect be asked to reconcile his drawing with the insurance surveys in the file for this building. A strictly residential front is required. 424 South Seventh Street. No comment at this time, pending the public hearing to be held on May 31 at two o'clock, before the Board of Review. 1237 Lombard Street. It was recommended that a request received for permission to install an air conditioning unit in a second floor front window be granted with the comment that the Commission does not like the looks of such a unit as it detracts from the appearance of the building, but that, understanding this to be a temporary measure, as the building has been provided for ducts and flues for later general air conditioning, the Commission shall give its approval on these grounds; or that the owner be told, merely, that the Commission exercises no jurisdiction in this case, for these reasons... 238 South Fourth Street. ) ) Discussion withheld, as Mr. Lloyd had excused himself 232 Pine Street. ) before these properties were reviewed.
