meeting who voted against it um but you know that sometimes happens with these projects

but there were people who voted against it oh they did yeah they did oh yeah i mean that's

the thing like we don't know who those people are because she didn't recognize any of them

and they were there were different projects out there uh that would seem controversial and

unfortunately sometimes you get the the spillover effect but that's why she reached out you know

after the the community meeting and reached and that's why we did that petition where she went

day after day after day to really find to get that support from her her community um including

her nearby neighbors like directly adjacent to her are you saying this is something common

in Winfield? It's my belief it's not. I used to live right across from there. All I can say is

that we went on Google Earth and that there were other residents and I'm going to go back here.

Okay. No doubt she's got a great business. Yeah so I mean it's a business in its infancy and it

be very difficult for her to have to have a commercial space. And so she's kind of stuck

in that middle ground. And that's why she really, if the board is, you know, inclined to grant

variants, we would agree to a temporary variants to give her that opportunity. You know, hopefully

she'll grow enough where maybe she then has the ability to go into a commercial space. But right

now she's kind of in that purgatory. But, you know, we looked online and we found these businesses

here um that were in residentially zoned properties um that are commercial in nature

so and here's a list of the properties um that we found so i'm going to stop sharing my screen i

mean we also have the tax clearance certificate i know it's late you know but like you know i

could show it to you i can show you the deed but you know i figured we'll unshare our screen for

now um i asked that miss howard virtually raised her hand and i don't know if anyone else is in

virtual audience to either support or discuss this project further. So, Ms. Howard, can you virtually

of those individuals right yes i knocked on each and every door and there were 102 doors that you

knocked on correct well except for the ones that are vacant yes there are 10 vacant lots and there

other than the two properties uh that did voice their opposition which we noted everyone else who

did have an opinion of those 85 are in support of this project correct okay thank you

cohen a member of council member uh jones's uh uh staff yeah they did state you know he did state

that they would leave it up to the board to decide you know this variance that they were

The comprehensive plan recommends no change to the existing RSA 5 single-family residential at this location.

The proposal is for a warehouse distribution which is recognized as an industrial land use

and is not consistent with the character of the surrounding residential land uses.

Accordingly, the Planning Commission strongly recommends the Board deny the variance.
