Thank you, Council President. I just want to introduce with me today Vernon Tolbert and Ramier Timley, who is right behind me. They're both sophomores actually at Vaux Big Picture High School, 2300 Master, and they're interested in pursuing careers in government. Do you believe that? They're shadowing me for the day to see if they're still interested. We'll see what happens. But for those of you who don't know about Vaux, it's a great high school. I believe it's in your district.
It's 2300 Master. I think it's ninth and tenth grade so far, and what they're doing is each child gets to work one day a week basically or shadow people one day a week in a job. So if anyone is interested in Stated Meeting February 14, 2019 people, this school, please contact Vaux or my office, but this is a great opportunity for young people to experience what goes on in government and even business. Year up is a national non-profit that's been around for some time. They're growing their presence here in the City of Philadelphia and the region. What Year Up does is that once someone comes out of high school, they actually provide a year up opportunity Stated Meeting February 14, 2019 and intern at a corporation, hopefully getting you a career path. They've done phenomenal work in the City of Philadelphia and this region. I hope all of you will be able to attend the briefing in the Caucus Room. Lunch will be provided. Also, in recognition of today being Valentine's Day, I hope everyone has a phenomenal day.
