There are a number of committee hearings that will be conducted this morning, so in the interest of time, we have one bill on the Streets and Services Committee, so we're going to move forward with that bill. Bill No. 18 060500, an ordinance amending Section 2 of an ordinance, Bill No. 010268, approved August 31, 2001, entitled "An ordinance authorizing the vacating of River Road, from a point approximately ten feet southwest of the Philadelphia and Montgomery County Line, northeastwardly to the Philadelphia and 3 6/8/06 - STREETS - BILL 060500 Montgomery County Line," as amended, by extending the time for compliance with the authorization conditions therein.
Good morning, Mr. Chairman and members of the Committee. My name is Frank Morelli, Survey Bureau Manager for the Department of Streets, and the Department of Streets would like to offer the following testimony on Bill 11 No. 060500. This is a Councilmanic ordinance requested by Councilman Michael Nutter. The purpose of this ordinance 16 is to extend the time to authorize the Board of Surveyors to legally close a portion of this street. This ordinance is supported by the Department of Streets and is recommended to your Committee for favorable action. COUNCILMAN DiCICCO: Thank you, Mr. Morelli. Let the record note that 4 6/8/06 - STREETS - BILL 060500 Councilwoman Donna Reed Miller, who is a member of this Committee, is also present.
