He may be coming back in as a panelist.
hello good afternoon how are you sir i'm good are you ready to go on with your case
um i don't i don't let me tell you what we don't have we don't have
exterior photos and we don't have proof of your posting
oh everything i i post them and i got pictures of them listing on the upload
so is you are you ready to go on today yes hillary i we'd have to see so
there were no exterior photos full exterior photos uploaded and no proof of posting
There were no exterior photos, full exterior photos uploaded and no proof of posting uploaded.
So we would need to see that before, if you can pull them up, we'd need to see that before we can hear this case.
Am I able to, while I'm in the meeting, can I show it, share these photos with you guys?
Yes, but we have not.
So right now we're doing continuances, so the chair will need to call your case.
and then you can show it at that point
if you have them available.
Here's what I'm going to do.
Get your things ready
and I'll be back to you in 15 minutes, okay?
Thank you.
All right.
Thank you, sir.
Thank you.
Appreciate it.
Number three, MI 2024-001-897-2614 Pine Street.
Michael Mattione is the attorney.
There's a letter of opposition
from the Center City Residents Association.
Back in as a panelist now, Mr. Chair.
Thank you.
Good afternoon, Mr. Chairman.
Good afternoon, Mr. Mattione.
Could you please say your name?
I'm going to get my video.
Whoops.
Michael Mattione, M-A-T-T-I-O-N-I.
There we go.
Do you swear or affirm to tell the truth, the whole truth, nothing but the truth?
Do you identify a client, a relationship to the property?
Certainly.
It's Mark DeCotesworth, and he's the owner of the property at 2614 Pine Street.
Do you waive the reading of the refusal, and do you agree with his accuracy?
Please proceed and start your...
Thank you, Mr. Chairman.
Again, I represent Mark DeCotesworth.
He's the owner of the property at 2614 Pine.
He is with us today, along with Frank Cuthbertson, the architect.
And we did, and let me share my screen.
We did submit, we did submit, I can't find it, of course, all of our materials in advance,
including the tax clearance, the refusal, the proof of, I'm trying to pull it up, Mr. Chair.
We have it.
we have all of your yeah no okay i just want to make sure you had it on and i have the wrong thing
up i'm sorry um should be set up now my exhibits up mr chair i can't tell uh not really no no okay
then i can see the zba hearing list that's all no no that's that's
I don't know why. I can't seem to get the screen to come up.
There we go, right?
It's not up?
You maybe need to stop sharing and then reshare your screen.
Is it up?
All right. Thank you. Sorry about that.
anyway um and like i said we have uh all the materials submitted in advance including um
support letters from several nearby neighbors and what this is is here's the residence but it
actually goes on to the former taney street now lecount street and every single house
every single house
on the eastern side of the 400 block
of South LeCount Street has a front-loaded
garage and
also the first five
on the next block of
500 block also have front-loaded
garages except for 2613
Notre Dame which has a side-loaded
garage and there are also four front-loaded
of garages on the um westerly side of um south con street so basically every single house on
the easterly side in the 400 block has a front loaded garage we're proposing to add a garage
or not a garage a parking space right here on this house in conformity with every other house
on the block um and as you can see here is the house and here's the side and you can see on the
other side there's a park so there's no parking of it no houses on the other side of the street
and this is where the entrance would be um to the parking area and again another shot
Again, another shot.
And the other thing we're trying to do is have the no parking sign move down about 10 feet to create another on-street parking space.
and the other thing we're trying to do is have the no parking sign
That's in review by the streets department.
But here are the houses going down the street.
And every single one has a front-loaded garage.
And this is 2613 Aldane Street, which has the similar parking slot to what we are proposing.
And then on the other side, you also have the four houses that have front-loaded garages.
So every single house here has a front-loaded garage.
We're trying to build what's already here, and there's our proof of notice of the hearing.
And this is where we are with the streets department trying to move the stop sign.
right now you have two parking spaces uh on the side of the house if we can move the stop sign
you would still keep two parking spaces and actually add a third between this and the other
front loaded garage next door this is the parking area that we would we would have it would take
mr decotesworth van off of the street put it onto the uh the parking area he uses it in his business
and he would be able to park like every one of his other neighbors on that side of the street
inside his own property line um that's the only thing we're seeking to do is to to build in
conformity with everybody else as you can see that's what's there um there's not a lot of magic
here it's just adding this little parking area here where everybody else has the same exact thing
and again you have a park across the street um and we have a stop sign a no parking sign they're
trying to move down the street uh we got comments back from the streets department today there was
nothing that said that we can't do it but they wanted some additional information um if we can
do that then we would also add another on-street parking space but worst case scenario we keep the
same amount of parking just have him have a spot off off of the street just like everybody else
um you know that's what we're trying to do we're trying to build in conformity with everybody else
um you know again there's also parking on the street across the street by the park there's
no houses there so this is this is what is in existence now we just want to be in conformity
with everybody else um and like i said we have uh several letters nearby neighbors 405
south lecount street which is right down the street two houses down 5512 south taney again
or lecount street it's right down the street again on the other side 2606 pine right there
on Pine Street, 2612, the immediate next door neighbor on Pine Street. They don't have any
off-street parking, but they have no problem with him adding off-street parking for himself.
So the immediate neighbors are in support. And I understand that center city residents,
I wasn't at the hearing or the meeting that they had, but I understand that they
took a position basically that they would oppose just almost any off-street parking on a residential
house like this despite the fact that that's what's in the rest of the community so um i have
nothing further mr chairman other than the call on uh if anybody had questions i have frank
cuthbertson here about design and i would like to call my client mark the coatsworth yeah why
Let me bring your client one.
