Bill No. 020146, an ordinance amending Title of the Philadelphia 13 Code, entitled "Finance, Taxes and Collections," by 14 amending Section 19-203, entitled "Payroll 15 Deductions," to allow for a provision adding the 16 Second Alarmers Association of Philadelphia to the 17 list of designated payees to whom a City employee 18 may direct payroll reductions, all under certain 19 terms and conditions.

-- and other members of the Committee on Finance. I am Ray Zies, Deputy Director of Finance for the City of Philadelphia. Thank you for the opportunity to testify today on behalf of the payroll deduction for the Second Alarmers Association of Philadelphia. The Second Alarmers Association provides an invaluable service for the firefighters of Philadelphia. This association goes to the scene of all fires and provides needed refreshments to the firefighters at the scene. The Administration supports the ordinance amending Title of the 16 Philadelphia Code and appreciates your 17 consideration of this bill. 18 Thank you. 19
