I just want to also prior to the vote on this resolution, which is in honor of the manufacturing here, which we are the Workshop of the World, I want to thank PIDC and Commerce Stated Meeting October 3, 2019 10/3/19 - STATED - 2ND READING Department for also recognizing all of the manufacturing businesses in the City of Philadelphia that I speak about day in and day out that employs over 23,000 citizens of our City, including training of our youth in our schools with CTE programs with a direct pipeline into job creation, creating jobs and jobs right here in the City. There is a shortage of youth and a pipeline for people to work in these jobs, and we range from aerospace to food and beverage to healthcare, packaging, and technology, and we have longstanding fourth-generation businesses that remain here in the City of Philadelphia, have chose to grow here in the City of Philadelphia and employ Philadelphia kids from our school system, employ people who are choosing to have a sustainable living and workforce right here in our neighborhoods, and I want to thank all of them. Stockwell is an elastometric company for -- they're celebrating their 100-year anniversary in this fall, 100 years, fourth generation, chose to put an addition on, chose to hire more Philadelphians, and chose to use them right directly from our School District. It's growth in the sector that we have here in our city that we want to keep recognizing and keep promoting on a daily basis, because Philadelphia is where it's at and we want to encourage more businesses to open up here, sell their products here, and employ our residents here.
