ZBA Hearing - March 2, 2022

getting very sick so what i'm trying to do is just make separate the home into two apartments

my upstairs uh the house is over 1400 square feet so i was looking to get the variance so

that i could start the process with the um approvals and the permits right so you wanted

you want to turn the basement into an efficiency apartment yes yes the rest of the house is your

home yes yes okay so let me ask you this where you live are there other multiple family units

on your block yes i had just i got the list and everything with my computer so there's several

there's quite a few units uh yes uh i believe there there are some single family homes but a

few on the corner uh just turn into uh i don't know how many units there is but there's a couple

units just one block away and there's two lots two vacant lots across the street from me

so there's more than enough parking on on this uh right and then when you went and you uh

you presented to the rco yes right and how did they vote do you remember uh i they voted it

passed the first meeting i had they had a problem with uh i had a one bedroom apartment

i had a one bedroom apartment but they wanted an egress window in both in both rooms so what i did

but they wanted an egress window in both

was i made it into a studio apartment instead right okay but the official vote was yes do you

intend to rent that out um yes to my to one of my sisters she has three kids right excuse me sorry

for interrupting sir if you if it's okay with miss tunkett i could try making this fast a um

co-host if you need to if you need to see the documents but if you're okay that will be fine

uh actually my uh my uh uh my engineer was supposed to be at this meeting are you there magna at all

okay if you're able to connect to the share screen now

so here's the thing um this is a late getting to be a late hour it appears as though she says

you had such an engineer or architect is here yeah and if she's prepared to share her screen

we can do that, but we don't want to prolong this at this late hour. So it's up to the chair if you

wish to allow her to come forward and she can share the screen if you still need to see.

If you want to share the screen, we'll take a very quick look at it if you can do that.

Natasha Bass, the other one, are you here?

We're going to bring her forward to swear her in. Does she have the documents this year?

uh i didn't uh

that i she yeah she is she has the blueprint

so i can get her on the phone we can also do this chair um don't want to be too fresh but i just

don't want to make her nervous about trying to share. I think I hear her mail. Somebody's saying

hi, good afternoon. I think it's the engineer. Could you do me a favor? Could you state your

name and spell for the court reporter? Magdalise Mello, M-A-G-D-A-L-I-S. My last name, Mello, M-E-L-O.

I'm the designer, so I did the space planning, not an engineer or architect. Do you swear a firm

to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth you don't have to testify just

if you can show us on the screen what it looks like after documents with me uh because natasha

was the one that prepared everything uh if she uh could send it to me i could share it on her end

okay

Thank you.

i'm mr chair i i did look at the property on google maps i have it on my screen

if you need to send that up let me share that

is it the end property yes break the red brick the red and then so it's a corner property

Natasha, you have a corner property.
