..Title Amending Chapter 14-1600 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Miscellaneous," by adding a new section prohibiting the demolition of buildings or other structures located within the area bounded on the north by the south side of Locust Street, on the west by the east side of Fifth Street, on the south by the north side of Washington street, and on the east by the Delaware River, and providing that such prohibition shall expire after a specified period of time, all under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Chapter 14-1600 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: CHAPTER 14-1600. MISCELLANEOUS. * * * §14-1628. Demolition Moratorium in Queen Village. (1) Definition. For purposes of this Section, "Queen Village" shall include all properties within the following boundary: the area bounded on the north by the south side of Lombard Street, on the west by the east side of Fifth Street, on the south by the north side of Washington Street, and on the east by the Delaware River. (2) No demolition of any building or other structure within Queen Village shall be permitted, unless (i) such demolition is necessary to abate an imminently dangerous condition as determined by the Department of Licenses and Inspections, (ii) a building permit for such demolition is obtained in accordance with all provisions of §14-2007(7) and the regulations issued pursuant to that Section, applying those provisions as if Queen Village were a designated historic district, or (iii) either a zoning and use registration permit for such demolition or a building permit for such demolition was issued prior to April 15, 2004.
