..Title Amending Chapter 14-1400 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Parking And Loading Facilities," by exempting mechanical access parking garages from certain requirements, all under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Chapter 14-1400 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: CHAPTER 14-1400. PARKING AND LOADING FACILITIES. * * * §14-1402. Parking in Residential Districts. * * * (9) Driveways, Aisles, Walkways, Screening, Landscaping and Lighting. (a) Parking facilities accessory to multi-family buildings and permitted non-residential uses shall comply with the following requirements: (.1) Driveways and Aisles. An additional area of the parking lot or parking garage equal to not less than twenty-five percent (25%) of the total area of the lot or garage shall be provided for access driveways and aisles, except that this requirement shall not apply in connection with a mechanical-access parking garage, as defined in section 406.3.2 of The Philadelphia Building Code. * * * §14-1403. Parking in Commercial Districts. * * * (6) Driveways, Aisles, Walkways, Screening, Landscaping and Lighting. (a) Parking facilities accessory to multi-family buildings, permitted non-residential uses, and commercial buildings shall comply with the following requirements: (.1) Driveways and Aisles.
