Amending Chapter 9-1100 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Fair Practices ," by providing that private entities providing taxi service shall not discriminate against individuals with disabilities by actions including, but not limited to, refusing to provide service to individuals with disabilities who can use taxi vehicles, refusing to accommodate such individuals in the use of a guide or support animal due to blindness, deafness or refusing to assist with the stowing of mobility devices, and any other assistive instrument and charging higher fares or fees for carrying individuals with disabilities and their equipment than are charged to other persons.

..Title Amending Chapter 9-1100 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Fair Practices ," by providing that private entities providing taxi service shall not discriminate against individuals with disabilities by actions including, but not limited to, refusing to provide service to individuals with disabilities who can use taxi vehicles, refusing to accommodate such individuals in the use of a guide or support animal due to blindness, deafness or refusing to assist with the stowing of mobility devices, and any other assistive instrument and charging higher fares or fees for carrying individuals with disabilities and their equipment than are charged to other persons. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Chapter 9-1100 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: CHAPTER 9-1100. FAIR PRACTICES. *** §9-1105 Unlawful Public Accommodations Practice. *** (2) Private entities providing taxi service shall not discriminate against individuals with disabilities by actions including, but not limited to, refusing to provide service to individuals with disabilities who can use taxi vehicles, refusing to accommodate such individuals in the use of a guide or support animal due to blindness, deafness or refusing to assist with the stowing of mobility devices, and any other assistive instrument and charging higher fares or fees for carrying individuals with disabilities and their equipment than are charged to other persons.
