..Title Amending Title 6 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Health Code," by amending Section 6-503, entitled "Licenses and Permits," by adding certain conditions for food establishments to obtain a license; all under certain terms and conditions. ..Body THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS: SECTION 1. Title 6 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows: TITLE 6. HEALTH CODE. * * * CHAPTER 6-500. ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISIONS. * * * § 6-503. Licenses and Permits. (1) Issuance and Conditions. (a) All applications for any license required by this Title shall be made to the Department of Licenses and Inspections. (b) The Board shall set by regulation the requirements and standards to be met by applicants for licenses and the Department shall certify them to the Department of Licenses and Inspections. (c) The Department of Licenses and Inspections shall not issue any license unless: (.1) the fee prescribed by this Title is paid; (.2) such information or records as this Title may require are furnished; (.3) such inspections as may be required by this Title have been made; (.4) the person applying therefor and the establishment or food for which such license is sought complies in every respect with this Title and the requirements and standards required by the Board, as certified by the Department [.] ; and (.5) in the case of food establishments with permanent locations, the person applying for the license: (i) indicates on the application whether the establishment is a prepared food shop, take-out restaurant, or sit-down restaurant, as defined in Section 14-601(7) of the Zoning Code; and (ii) has obtained the proper use registration permit from the Department of Licenses and Inspections. (d) All licenses shall: (.1) remain in force for one year from the date of issuance, unless sooner revoked as hereafter provided; (.2) be publicly displayed in a conspicuous place within the establishment where the activity or act licensed is principally conducted; (.3) be non-assignable and non-transferable; (.4) be conditioned upon continued compliance with this Title and the Regulations of the Board issued under it.
