Pedersen for Old Philadelphia Development Corp. Dr. Margaret B. Tinkcom, Historian Mrs. Charles J. Maurer, Secretary SUBMISSIONS City Hall - a letter to Mr. John Evans, City Architect, regarding the need to submit drawings for the Commission's approval on proposals to alter any part of City Hall. Approved 612 Spruce Street. Approved 406 Spruce Street. Approved with a strong recommendation that louvered shutters be used in view of the date of this structure. Moldings shown are too late. 131 Pine Street. Approved 304 S. Second Street. Compliment the architect on his fine drawing. Urge the use of louvered shutters as consistent with the stone lintels, narrow joints and arched dormer, indicating a later front. 309 S. Third Street. The Commission assumes existing frame of door and the fanlight are to be preserved. It directs that marble to the basement area be used to match the steps and that louvered shutters be hung above the first story. If these points are observed, the work is approved. 104, 106 Pine Street. It is strongly recommended that a marble band to match the steps and that of the houses on either side be used. Survey calls for arch head dormers. The Commission notes the brick is to be cleaned it suggests plain balusters for the platform railing. Approved on basis of these recommendations 520 Delancey Street. Moldings are approved. 1212 to 1222 Rodman Street. In view of the character of this one particular development project, the Historical Commission has resolved to withdraw certification of the six buildings involved and, therefore, disclaims jurisdiction of any part of this undertaking. This action does not, however, establish a precedent. PROBLEMS 423 Spruce Street. It was resolved that a letter be written to the owner alerting him to the attention being paid to the work in progress on this building; that both the architect and the Redevelopment Authority will be notified that the Historical Commission has confidence in Mr. Praissman's drawings that were approved earlier this year. PLAQUES REQUESTED 511 Cypress Street. The penteave, objected to, has fallen off. Plaque now approved. 312 Lombard Street. Request approved. 530 Pine Street. Request approved on recommendation of Mr. Lloyd. No plans were reviewed There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at
