Exception is taken to the phrase "built up roof", which the Committee presumes means "asphalt shingle roof". If this is acceptable. 236 Spruce Street. The Committee approves the facade with the comment that unless evidence is uncovered to disprove the existence of a former penheave, a pent will be required. The rail of the shutters must fall below the division of the sash for easy closing. Shutters must accurately match the panels of the door. 636 Spruce Street. The survey calls for a frontispiece with plain columns and a circular sash. The dormer exixting is original. It was recommended that a copy of the survey be made available to the architect, ceiling his attention to the Commission's requirement for mouldings of door, doorway and shutters to be accurately presented in larger scale, and that he be asked to resubmit his plans for a later meeting. 212 Cypress Street. The submission was approved. 222 Delancey Street. This drawing not acceptable. The Committee recommends that a resubmission include accurate details for windows, door and shutters, not catalogue numbers; that this be indicated in a letter, pointing out that the drawing is part of the permanent record for the certified property, and that the drawing must be a working drawing. Effort should be made to point out one or two buildings of similar period, having original mouldings and other details intact. 1215 Pine Street. It was recommended that the present doorway be retained even if not used. It was the opinion of the Committee that two windows and the door were part of the facade before the present store front was made, and that this should be replaced. Another drawing is required, showing a detailed elevation incorporating these recommendations, with details. 424 South Seventh Street. The submission was approved. 403-09 S. Thirteenth Street. It was recommended that the metal cornice be removed and a suitable wooden one designed to replace it. It was the opinion of the Committee that the return of the rear cornice of the corner property, built at the same time, indicates the original style of the
