D R A F T ARCHITECTURAL COMMITTEE MEETING, 24 SEPTEMBER, 1964 Present were: Mr. George K. Trautwein, Chairman Mr. Richmond P. Miller It was noted that Mr. Williams was unavoidably absent. Also present: Mr. John F. Lloyd, representing the Redevelopment Authority Mr. Erling H. Pedersen, representing the Old Phila. Development Corp. Dr. Margaret B. Tinkcom, Historian Mrs. Charles J. Maurer, Secretary SUBMISSIONS 231 Spruce Street. It was recommended that the doorway be bolder (broader by about eight inches) and in better proportion to the facade. Otherwise the drawing is approved. A drawing of the facade with corrected doorway is required. 262 S. Third Street. Although this is a poor drawing, the engineer furnished details of muntins and panels for the door as he was requested to do. These are approved, if identical to the ex- isting details, as requested in the letter of 30 June, 1964, following the first submission. DEMOLITION 1308-10 Lombard Street. Approval for the demolition of these two buildings is reluctantly given in view of their dilapidated condition, and to provide space for a new building, an insti- tution for the elderly, called Casa Fermil. PROBLEM 6112 Germantown Avenue. The owner requested approval to install a bulk window for his real estate office. This request was dis- approved. PLAQUES 503 North Marshall Street. The request for a plaque was approved. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at six o'clock. Respectfully submitted, George K.
