Lloyd for the Redevelopment Authority Mr. Joseph B. Townsend, Jr., for the OPDC Dr. Margaret B. Tinkcom, Historian Mrs. Charles J. Maurer, Secretary SUBMISSIONS Safford's Tavern. The drawings were approved 300 Delancey Street. The drawings were approved. Comment was made that the Commission assumes plans will be sent to the Redevelopment Authority and a set for our files. 110 Delancey Street. It was recommended that further study be given the doorway and the shutters. The problem of the alley is referred to the Redevelopment Authority as Mr. Lloyd stated that the commercial building now blocking the alley between 110 and 112 Delancey is to be demolished, and the alley revealed. 1315-17 Pine Street. The letter requesting approval to close the opening between the two buildings, in order to make two separate properties, was approved, with the comment that the Commission looks forward to a full restoration of the exterior in due time. 240 South Seventh Street. No action was taken, pending a drawing of the proposed gate to the side alley. 504, 506 South Fourth Street. It was recommended that no action be taken until a study of the properties is made and certification established. The drawing is probably too early. PROBLEMS 705 Spruce Street. It was recommended that the potential new owner be notified that the Commission hopes the front will be completely restored in the foreseeable future. At what time the fanlight will be made to resemble the original at 707 Spruce. 320 Delancey. It was recommended that both the Commission and the Redevelopment Authority write to the Department of Licenses and Inspections requesting favorable consideration of the penteave as submitted. 339 South Fourth Street. It was determined that the effort to get the contractor to obtain a permit must rest, now that the Department of Licenses and Inspections had been notified that no building permit is in force. The Commission will gladly authorize a plaque, when the building's exterior is restored. 632 Spruce. It was recommended that the owner be informed that plaques are authorized on two counts only: Perfect preservation or perfect restoration. In view of late 19th century changes to the facade, this building does not qualify for a plaque. 528 Delancey. Mr. Lloyd agreed to view the building in the light of this second application for a plaque. If it meets with his approval, the owner may have one.
