Aye. The ayes are 17; the nays are all members having voted in the affirmative, the bill passes. This completes our Calendar for today. Are there speeches on the part of the minority? (No response.)

Council President Verna

Are there speeches on the part of the majority? The Chair recognizes Councilwoman Blackwell.

Councilwoman Blackwell

Thank you, Madam President. I rise on two issues. One is to introduce a young man who is studying urban planning, undergraduate level, at the University of Pennsylvania, Darryl Oliver, and ask him to stand. He is a very important member of our staff. He's also helping us with all of the issues we deal with with African and Caribbean and the Haitian relief effort. So we're very, very glad board. (Applause.)

Councilwoman Blackwell

And the other is to remind you we have our Partnership for Prescription Assistance table available for those who need that help. Thank you, Madam President.

Council President Verna

You're welcome. The Chair recognizes Councilwoman Miller.

Councilwoman Miller

Thank you, Madam President. Today I introduced a resolution recognizing, honoring and celebrating Chestnut Hill for receiving the prestigious National Trust for Historic Preservation's Dozen Distinctive Destinations for 2010. In order for them -- I mean, they are certainly one of the ten or one of the 12, but in order for them to come to be number one, they actually need people to go on the web and vote for them So today I'm asking people to go to www.chestnuthillpa.com and vote, and that will help our neighborhood here in Philadelphia, Chestnut hill, become number one in this distinct honor. So let me repeat the website again - www.chestnuthillpa.com, and vote. Thank you.

Council President Verna

You're welcome. Are there any other speeches on the part of the majority? (No response.)

Council President Verna

Seeing none, the Chair recognizes Councilman Clarke for the purpose of a motion to adjourn.

Councilman Clarke

Thank you, Madam President. I move that Council stand adjourned until Thursday, February 11th, 2010, 10:00 a.m. (Duly seconded.)

Council President Verna

It seconded that Council stand adjourned until Thursday, February the 11th at 10:00 a.m. All in favor will say aye. (Aye.)

Council President Verna

Those opposed? (No response.)

Council President Verna

The ayes have it and the motion carries. Thank you.
