Are there any speeches on the part of Majority? The Chair recognizes Councilwoman Brown.
Thank you, Madam Chair. I would be remiss not to acknowledge that this has been an extraordinarily remarkable year for me, from the wonderful ceremony of the inauguration at the Academy of Music to the work that came with an ultimate passing of my first bill on behalf of family day care providers, to the inclusion of the Children's Fund in the historic stadium negotiations. So I have to say thank you to all of those who made it happen. At the holiday season, my thoughts turn gratefully to those who gave me this unique opportunity to serve. For me, there's no better time than now to say thank you. So to the citizens of this city, to labor, to the clergy, to the business community, to the educational community, and the grassroot community I say thank you. SPEECHES And then, finally, in closing, to my colleagues of this body, I want to say thank you to them for the meetings and the phone calls and response to correspondence on issues that matter to me. And to all of you, I say it's a pleasure to serve as a member of this legislative body.
At this time, I would like to wish each and every one of you a very happy holiday season. And I would like to recognize Councilwoman Tasco for a motion to adjourn.
