Bill No. 040154, an ordinance authorizing the Commissioner of Public Property, on behalf of the City of Philadelphia, to extend the term of a lease agreement for portions of the building and parking lot located at 4700 Wissahickon Avenue, for use by the City and affiliated agencies for warehouse storage and office purposes, under certain terms and conditions.

Chairman Clarke, members of the committee, my name is Ken Sipos. I am with the Department of Public 4 BILL NO. 040154 - 4/29/04 Property, I am a real estate specialist, and I am here to testify in support of Bill No. 4 040154, an Ordinance authorizing the Commissioner of Public Property on behalf of the City of Philadelphia to extend the term of a lease agreement for portions of the building and parking lot located at 4700 Wissahickon Avenue for use by the City and affiliated agencies for warehouse storage and office purposes. The bill will enable the extension of the term of the lease through June 30, 2013. The existing lease agreement is for warehouse space used to store the City of Philadelphia voting machines and expires June 30, 2004. The Department of Public Property supports this measure and, accordingly, I respectfully ask that City Council approve Bill No. 040154. I also ask that the Rules be suspended so as that the Ordinance may be passed upon the second reading at Council. 5 BILL NO. 040154 - 4/29/04 Thank you.
