of the community um i just give my full support to the project and i think it will be a positive
impact um i think it's briefly mentioned the kind of conversations with rails to trails and
their effort to give a public access to that potential future project is huge and just the
willingness to sign on and that we think it's kind of a positive change in this neighborhood
and an extremely underutilized plot even as its current use as a tire shop and yeah we really
just wanted to emphasize that I think me as an individual and direct neighbor as well as a member
a strong member of the Neighborhood Association, believe in what this project's going for, and
yeah, wanted to pass along. Thank you for your call and your input.
Thank you. Is there anyone else in the virtual audience?
I see no hands, Chair. Planning Commission.
Good afternoon, Chair, members of the Board. This is Greg Baldwin, Planning Commission staff.
this property is indicated for industrial commercial use on the city plan in 2017 our
adopted district plan recommended remapping from i2 which is general industrial to icmx
zoning at this location the applicant's hardship is not supported with evidence of unique physical
circumstances or conditions of the property that would prevent it from being used in conformance
with the requirements of the code therefore we recommend that the requested variance not variances
not be granted. Mr. Chairman, if I could just very briefly respond to that. We believe the
evidence has more than adequately shown that this property has very unique constraints that would
prevent it from being used for any buy right use, which is a commonality that has been found along
this area for several years now. So you've really presented a lot of facts today. And what I would
like to do is meet with next Wednesday in an executive session, and we'll vote on this
at 930.
Thank you, Mr. Chairman.
All right.
Thank you for your presentation.
Is there anyone in the virtual audience whose case has not been called on the 930 list?
