You do have that feeling. Well, then it seems to me you ought to be able to come up with a pretty close estimate. You ought to be able to tell us what the $17 million runs. What are the costs associated with the City of Philadelphia making what you estimate to be $17 million? What's the transaction, how much is going to be involved, what are lawyers going to make out of it, the finance advisors? Are there others that are going to be paid? Let's find out what that is. Then we have a whole picture and I think we're in a much better position.
Without the definitive information and without locking yourselves into anything, if you could possibly work on some estimates of the kind of information that Councilman Cohen is asking for and get it to us before the bill comes up for a vote through the Chair, that might help us, okay?
Thank you very much. Councilman Nutter, would you then make a motion for the amended bill?
Madam Chair, I move that Bill 030826, as amended, be reported out of this Committee with a favorable recommendation and a further recommendation that the Rules of Council be suspended so as to permit first reading at our next Session. (Duly seconded.)
It has been moved and seconded that Bill 030826 as amended be reported out of Committee with a favorable recommendation, and further that the Rules be suspended so as permit first reading at our next Session of Council. All in favor? (Aye.)
We have Councilman Cohen with an abstention vote that we ask the stenographer to record. 56 12/10/03 - FINANCE - PUBLIC MEETING Thank you very much. We thank you all for your patience.
