Yes. Councilwoman Verna, I'd just like to make an announcement, because we want to get the word out, that the hearing I have scheduled for Monday regarding the election fiasco regarding what happened during the Election Day, we're going to postpone that, as the Chair of the Commissioners is not able to come and she wishes to come and testify herself, and out of respect for her and her illness, we will hold that until she's able to come, and we will also hopefully by that time have their investigation which they can present to this body.
Very well. Thank you, Councilwoman. Are there any other speeches on the part of the Majority? (No response.)
Seeing none, again, the Chair recognizes Councilwoman Tasco for a motion to
Madam Chair, I move that Council stand adjourned until Thursday, June 15th at 10 o'clock. (Duly seconded.)
It has been moved and seconded that Council stand adjourned until Thursday, June the 15th at 10 o'clock. All in favor will say aye. (Aye.)
The ayes have it and the motion carries. Also, I would like to remind my colleagues that there is a public hearing to follow immediately regarding the Housing Committee, which Councilwoman Blackwell chairs. Thank you very much. (Stated Meeting adjourned at 1:50 p.m.) CERTIFICATE I HEREBY CERTIFY that the proceedings, evidence and objections are contained fully and accurately in the stenographic notes taken by me upon the foregoing matter on June 8, 2006, and that this is a true and correct transcript of same. ______________________________ MICHELE L.
