City of Philadelphia Cancellation of Public Hearing Notice The Committee on Public Health and Human Services of the Council of the City of Philadelphia has CANCELLED a Public Hearing on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 10:00 AM, in Room 400, City Hall, to hear testimony on the following items: 240071 Resolution authorizing the City Council Committee on Public Health and Human Services to hold public hearings to explore the effects of recent Rite Aid and pharmacy closures in Philadelphia, understand the impact this has on prescription access and vital pharmacy health services for senior citizens, and examine the use of urgent care centers to fill the void in prescription care.

240488 Resolution calling on the Committee of Health and Human Services to conduct a hearing regarding the efficacy and impact of recovery homes and transitional housing and to gather input from all stakeholders, including members of affected communities, representatives from recovery homes and transitional housing, and from those in recovery, to better understand the challenges and concerns from all perspectives. Immediately following the public hearing, a meeting of the Committee on Public Health and Human Services, open to the public, will be held to consider the action to be taken on the above listed items.
