City of Philadelphia Public Hearing Notice The Committee on Education of the Council of the City of Philadelphia will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 10:00 AM, in Room 400, City Hall, to hear testimony on the following items: 240601 Resolution authorizing the Committee on Education to hold hearings to examine the sudden closing of the University of the Arts (UArts). The impact this sudden closing will have on the Philadelphia higher education system and most importantly the negative impacts on the current student body and staff. Immediately following the public hearing, a meeting of the Committee on Education, open to the public, will be held to consider the action to be taken on the above listed items.
