City of Philadelphia Public Hearing Notice The Special Committee on Child Separation In Philadelphia of the Council of the City of Philadelphia will hold a Public Hearing on Friday, May 6, 2022, at 10:00 AM, in a remote manner using Microsoft® Teams. This remote hearing may be viewed on Xfinity Channel 64, Fios Channel 40 or http://phlcouncil. com/watch-city-council/, to hear testimony on the following items: 210914 Resolution authorizing Council’s Special Committee on Child Separations in Philadelphia to conduct public hearings to further understand the role of community umbrella agencies (CUA), such as Turning Points for Children, in the local child welfare system, and further investigate the systemic failures that resulted in three girls being returned to their sexually abusive father.

Immediately following the public hearing, a meeting of the Special Committee on Child Separation In Philadelphia, open to the public, will be held to consider the action to be taken on the above listed items.
