City of Philadelphia Public Hearing Notice The Committee on Public Health and Human Services of the Council of the City of Philadelphia will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM, in Room 400, City Hall, to hear testimony on the following items: 250936 Resolution authorizing the Committee on Public Health and Human Services to hold hearings to examine the impacts of the current crisis threatening the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) on food and nutrition security in Philadelphia, including barriers to accessing benefits, disruptions to nutrition education and outreach, consequences for residents, and opportunities for coordinated City and community response.
Immediately following the public hearing, a meeting of the Committee on Public Health and Human Services, open to the public, will be held to consider the action to be taken on the above listed items.
