Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Could we please have your attention. I'd like to convene a hearing of the Committee on Public Property. First I want to explain a little bit, since you're sitting here, what's going on today. This is the last Session day prior to our break for the holiday season, so this is the last day we can get first reading on any bills to finally vote them all on next week the 19th. So we're going to have about four public hearing to get bills moving through the process prior to doing our Stated Session for the day. So you're going to hear a lot of activity going on about Public Property and Rules Committee and some other things that have nothing to do with our stated, but it's to allow these bills to get into the pipeline. It always beginning of the summer, beginning of the holiday, we have a rush of business. So bear with us please and we'll try to get through this as quickly possible. This a Council Committee on Public Property and Public Works. We have a quorum present with Councilmember Clarke, Councilmember Reynolds-Brown, Councilmember Nutter, myself Councilman Kenney as Chairman, and Council President 3 12/12/02 - PUBLIC PROPERTY AND PUBLIC WORKS Verna. We want to take testimony today on one bill only which is 020742, which is an Ordinance 5 amending Bill No. 990728, approved December 6, 1999, entitled "An Ordinance authorizing the Commissioner of Public Property to convey to the Redevelopment Authority of Philadelphia certain premises located at 1823-35 Callowhill Street, and authorizing the Commissioner of Public Property to enter into or execute such other instruments as may be necessary or desirable to effectuate the provisions of this Ordinance; all under certain terms and conditions," by extending the time for compliance with the conditions until December 1, 2003. And know we have a lot of activity in here today. Everybody has to make a special effort to keep your conversations to a minimum or take it out into the hallway. Thank you, Mr. 4 12/12/02 - PUBLIC PROPERTY - BILL 020742 Chairman. Mr. Chairman, we're asking for an authorization of an extension of a lease it's in support of a Crisis Treatment Center, a program that works with young people and individuals in need. And we're asking for an opportunity so they can develop the facility to provide that assistance to those individuals.
