You know, I do not -- I mean, the level of debt service that carries forward is something that we look at all the time. And I think that we keep an eye -- you know, we try to make sure that we don't just get through during our Administration; but also, you know, leave the next Administration a fair chance. I think that there are a lot of opportunities out there for the city. I think that there is additional revenue that we're leaving on the table from the property tax. You know, so I think that we need to be careful about the level of borrowing. But I think that there -- you know, there is enough opportunity out there, enough revenue on the horizon, that it is not --
It just seems these are the types of items that would be in the front end of the first term of an 224 RESOLUTION NO. 060019 - 2/14/06 Administration or the second term of an Administration, as opposed to the end of one; where, you know, in the end, two years from now, you're not going to be here to have to deal with it, and the next group is going to have to be here and deal with it. And hopefully some of us will still be here, that we won't have to deal with any crises. But the speculative nature of the revenues and the debt that we're increasing, to me, has some serious concern. And, Madam President, I would appreciate if we could make a formal request, Madam President, to PICA now. I know they don't like to come here during the course of the testimony, because they will be asked question after question. But I would really like for them to digest all of this and come over and give them some time to give their opinion. Because I think as it relates to the Five-Year Plan, that is exactly the purpose of their existence, is to come here and tell us 225 RESOLUTION NO. 060019 - 2/14/06 are the questions I am asking wrong, are the answers I am getting wrong or right, and are we going to proceed with some enlightened view of where we are going to be financially in the next three, five, seven, even ten years. So I don't know whether or not they were scheduled to discuss specifically this plan, but I would like them to do it within the context of finishing up the Administration.
Are there any other questions or comments from members? Seeing none, this committee will stand in recess until 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. Thank you.
