I wonder if that's the person we just muted. Leidy Rodriguez-Largo.
That number that we have for Leidy Rodriguez-Largo is a 267-258-2594.
Modesto, is that person connected? COUNCIL SUPPORT: Yeah. We have the participant connected, Council President, but we're having an issue with our system on that side. Plus the number has been muted. So we're going to try to reconnect again to try to get the feed up on our side there. f04d7460-4c8b-43fc-990b-a8dd935f7af9
Okay. Thank you. Mr. Decker, is Serena Rose not available?
Serena is not connected, but I understand that Leidy Rodriguez is connected. However, the number that she is connected through and all the speakers are connected through, we just muted that number because the strange sound was coming out over that. So we will have to unmute that to hear from Leidy.
That's fine. COUNCIL SUPPORT: I think we're f04d7460-4c8b-43fc-990b-a8dd935f7af9 ready to proceed, Council President.
Just state your name for the record and please proceed with your testimony. I apologize for the confusion. (Connection issues.)
All right. We have challenges. Can we fix that, Modesto? (No response.)
She is being called, Mr. President. I see a message from Owenda.
Good. Thank you. Finally got you on. f04d7460-4c8b-43fc-990b-a8dd935f7af9 We apologize for the technical difficulties. If you could just state your name for the record and proceed with your testimony, we'd appreciate it.
This is -- excuse me. This is for the Latin American Book Fair. It looks like the number 551, that is not the right resolution that I going to testify. It was the number that they gave me yesterday.
Okay. What resolution are you going to testify on?
It is about the Latin American Book Fair resolution.
Yes, it is, Mr. President. f04d7460-4c8b-43fc-990b-a8dd935f7af9
You know what, since we've made you wait so long, you just go ahead and testify.
Okay. Just proceed with your testimony. (No response.)
I'm calling to -- my testimony is about the resolution for the Latin American Book Fair that Councilman David Oh just presented today.
I think that it's very important that we have this resolution approved, because this is a very innovative community idea and we f04d7460-4c8b-43fc-990b-a8dd935f7af9 have -- this is a very unique (unintelligible) program and that is -we going to share with the families that live in Philadelphia. And we start this program in 199 -- excuse me; 2019, and it was the first one that we did it, and it was a formal conversation between Anna Manna and Oscar Ramirez and we -- she just say -- she is a writer, children books writer, and she says, where can I just show my writers. And we just start a conversation and say, why we don't have Latin American Book Fair in Philadelphia. It's not one that it has been done before. And we start this idea and just came out to Councilman David Oh, and he say, we are going to support you if you start doing it. He just working, and we did it on October 4. It was the first one, and we did it in the courtyard of Philadelphia. And since that, came the pandemic, we did it online for three days, and next day -- next year, last f04d7460-4c8b-43fc-990b-a8dd935f7af9 year, we did it again in the courtyard. And it's right there. The sign is published, and we have received all these response for them, and it's like this program is a voice for the Latino community and no Latino community that just want to share the language. So that's why we think that this is very important for the community in general, not only the Latino but the general community, just to know how fortunate we have in every -- in different part of the writers. And we have involved community. We have involved non-profits. We have a sponsor for different businesses and a lot of people that is volunteer for this event that is going to be the fourth year on September 23rd at the Love Park, and I think that you consider that it is worth it for our community and in general the community in Philadelphia.
Okay. Thank you. Thank you for your f04d7460-4c8b-43fc-990b-a8dd935f7af9 appreciate it, and sorry we had that delay that we had on our behalf. Thank you for your testimony.
