He raised some issues about10 future problems associated with11 acquisition of properties that may be12 liened or something for the CDCs to13 acquire.14 COMMISSIONER NEUKRUG: Yes, and15 thank you for allowing me to come back16 up, and thank you, Mr. White, for17 bringing these issues to my attention.18 The D-Permit ordinance that's19 in front of you really is to close this20 loophole and to make things fairer for21 residential customers in Philadelphia and22 for our industrial customers as well.23 In terms of -- I did read24 through Mr. White's testimony, and I25 177 6/6/11 - FINANCE - BILL 110297, ETC.1 think with some discussion, we're2 certainly on the same page. Well, as I12 mentioned, with your permission, Madam13 Chair, we would like to meet with the14 Commissioner and his staff, along with15 some of our leadership and our Board of16 Directors who have brought these17 concerns, and I serve them, they're my18 constituents, in a -- not in this forum,19 but in another meeting, but would hope20 that Council would recess the hearing and21 convene before the end of session so that22 we can move this significant legislation.23
Well, what24 we can do, we can move it out of25 178 6/6/11 - FINANCE - BILL 110297, ETC.1 Committee. It stays on the Calendar2 until we vote it. That way -- because we3 are in a short time space, and so if you4 resolve your issues within the next day5 or so, then we can move it.
