It's extremely important that when they talk about Godfrey Avenue being a highway, this is a residential road on both sides, both Olney and East Oakland.
We have a large amount of homeowners who are in Tudor twins, Bauhaus's. We have Spanish colonials. We have turn-of-the-century homes that people are investing. This is a small 10 by 10 middle neighborhood.
We are acutely aware of the tipping points for safety, for quality of life.
We need to keep this delicate balance of our well-designed uses, our zoning uses.
This is a special exception for the applicants.
It is not special for the local homeowners.
We also rely on multi-generational wealth.
We have people staying in these homes.
thank goodness investing in them raising their family for decades and they pass
these houses down in order to keep the desire to maintain these homes and not
have these single-family homes tip into more transient apartment dwellings the
