grid that I created shows that all of them are RSA 5. And you'll see the lot size. And if you
look compared to the unit size, our lot, which is 980 square feet dimensionally, is much larger
than what has been previously granted in the past by the Doney Board of Adjustment.

this project on behalf of the school district is to construct a 16 000 square foot addition
to the existing elementary school the school sits on an assemblage of properties
which was acquired by the school district in the late 1920s and the
school has been operated therefore for many many decades. We've come to the school to the
zoning board with the support of the Southport Richmond Civic Association and the project has
also been approved by the Art Commission. The addition to the building will allow a multi-purpose
room in the existing building which has been used for both the gym and the cafeteria to be
single purpose for a gym and the new cafeteria will be in the new addition. I have submitted in
advance a rather lengthy set of exhibits, and in those exhibits we not only have
the tax certification, the deeds, photographs of the existing Richmond
school, as well as renderings of the proposed edition. We've been asked to get
a special exception that's the basis of the referral. However, this building has
been used as a as a and the property as a school building since before the
enactment of the zoning code plus it's been used continuously as the school
and I'm not sure it warrants however there is no additional burden on the
community because of the addition there will not be additional students because
of the addition by itself and there won't be additional teachers. This is merely giving
the students and children the proper space in order to promote the educational program. As for
As for the variants, the examiner has identified a need for parking, 17 additional spaces based on the 16,530 square feet in the addition.

they have
There has never been parking for this school.
There will be no additional burden on the surrounding parking on account of this addition.
And therefore, the property could not be improved to provide those parking spaces.
And therefore, we ask for a variance.
Be pleased to answer any questions.
Does the board have any questions?
Can everybody unmute themselves, confessor?

all right yeah second court reporter yeah i'm here okay we're all ready chair all right
here we go good afternoon everyone my name is frank de chico i'm the chair of the zoning board
of adjustment we have a quorum i'm officially calling this session to order also in attendance
is our vice chair ms carol tenere our board member mr thomas holloman and our board secretary
confessor plaza along with our city solicitor sharon saletta as you probably are aware today
is our second day of holding virtual hearings while we may have we may have to make adjustments
along the way. Our plan is to call each case and basically proceed as we would have in a live
hearing. We ask that attorneys for the applicants or other interested parties identify themselves
for the record when the case you'll be participating is called. We will then hear the
appellant's presentation, followed by any presentation by attorneys representing other
parties. Interested parties and members of the public not represented by counsel will then be
given an opportunity to testify. We will finally hear the recommendation of the
Planning Commission. At the hearing's conclusion, the Board will either vote
the matter immediately or hold it for discussion in executive session. Any case
any case held for discussion will be voted on the record at the scheduled
July 21st morning session. A couple of changes related to the virtual format.
First, we will be administering oaths to individual participants prior to their testimony, rather than to the room as a whole, obviously, since we don't have a room.
Second, for the benefit of anyone participating by phone, we ask that attorneys and witnesses identify themselves prior to speaking or testifying.
Third, we'd like to advise everyone that this proceeding is being recorded and that by
participating you acknowledge your agreement to be recorded. I'd also like to remember recognize that
our staff is being represented by Tanya, Ms. Tanya Sunkit. With that, Carol, call the first case.
please okay um we do have three continuances do you want to do those first or the case if you
