This bill has been heard on -- I'm sorry. Councilman Jones.
Yes. Thank you, Mr. President. I'd like to go public on the record and thank the Chair of Parks and Rec for her due diligence in looking at this agreement with a fine-tooth comb and thank her for taking that responsibility for all Philadelphians, and I appreciate it. And, therefore, I've agreed to do three basic things upon passing this legislation. One, to amend with an agreement a quarterly review of the revenues and revenue projections and uses of those funds on a quarterly basis to maximize benefit to the City of Philadelphia. The second thing that I've agreed to push is -- which is already in Stated Meeting June 21, 2018 6/21/18 - STATED - 2ND READING the legislation, is an advisory board. What we have not done is talked about the composition of that advisory board, representing City Council, representing the Rec Department, and representing, most importantly, the community. And the third thing that we've agreed on is to look at when if indeed we do get a national event and we finally get Tiger Woods, that we look at possible revenues in addition that can come to the City of Philadelphia from that national golf outing. I wanted to also say that I represent three golf courses in my district. One is private. It's Bala. But the other one is Cobbs Creek and Karakung. What we don't often know is the asset that we have. This is a golf course that helped break down the color barrier in the City of Philadelphia, that the first African American to win a national actually golfed and got his start here in Philadelphia in that golf Stated Meeting June 21, 2018 6/21/18 - STATED - 2ND READING course. And so we want to restore it back to its original position and historic position within the City of Philadelphia. So with those provisos, I would seek my colleagues' support on this bill.
Thank you. Thank you, Councilman. Mr. Decker, call the roll. I'm sorry. The Chair recognizes Councilwoman Bass.
Thank you so much, Mr. President. I just really wanted to thank my colleague Councilman Jones for his work on this. It was really a team effort. And we just really want to make sure that whenever we are working with another entity, when we're talking about City assets, that we're really doing the right thing by our citizens, especially at times like this when we're asking them to dig deeper. So I just really wanted to say thank you so much to the Councilman. We Stated Meeting June 21, 2018 6/21/18 - STATED - 2ND READING look forward to working with you and trusting that this is a process that is going to work and, most importantly, that it's going to work for the citizens of the City of Philadelphia and for the near neighbors who are most affected. So thank you, Councilman, so much.
Thank you, Councilwoman. This bill has been heard on two separate days. The question is shall the bill pass finally. Mr. Decker, please call the roll.

Thank you very much, Council President. I think Stated Meeting June 21, 2018 6/21/18 - STATED - 2ND READING this body has spoken up very significantly and I think the folks who have spoken earlier testifying to the issue of family separation and detention, the fact that the new law talks about -the new executive order, I'm sorry, by the President identifies family detention as preferable to family separation does not make the issue of detention any better. It is a big concern that Pennsylvania will be one of three family detention centers. If we're upset about little children as young as one year old being kept on the television cameras, that's what's happening at Berks right now. Many of those children have been there for months. Some of them have been there for almost a year. It's unhealthy. It's inhumane. We can do better. We need a sensible immigration and refugee policy, and I'm hoping that Pennsylvania doesn't become another symbol and place where we're going to see these kinds of Stated Meeting June 21, 2018 6/21/18 - STATED - 2ND READING things happening within our own Commonwealth. With that, I move for the adoption of the resolution. (Duly seconded.)
